Where did the idea to start something like this come from? Also, talk us through your journey as an entrepreneur please;
I have been associated with the Media industry for a long time. I worked as a special correspondent with The Economic Times for 10 years.
Digital Mill is a great way to leverage my expertise and the learnings & insights to add value to our client’s projects.
Social media is a dynamic platform, we have evolved ourselves into a 24X7 agency which has given us the perspective to reflect with maximum flexibility. Steering into political content creation at a very early age, I realized its importance when Obama was contesting in the US election and the social media was flooding with causes and propaganda.
When Narendra Modi was elected as PM in 2014, a very strong emphasis was made on politics across the social media platforms. At that time, I understood the need of a politician to be at the forefront of social media and started handling a lot of political clients also.
I’m very happy to say that we are one of the very few companies in India that have done so much work for politicians and political parties, understanding the nuances in political geography.”

What attracts you towards entrepreneurship instead of a corporate career?
I chose entrepreneurship because I always wanted to make an impact. I have always been intrigued by entrepreneurship and read the success stories of almost all successful entrepreneurs.
It’s incredible how you build something from the scratch and scale it. Not everyone can do it. It takes a lot of courage, planning, perseverance, hard work, teamwork, combined with good strategy & execution skills.
What are the business mantras you have embraced as you sought to establish your success story?
Our mantra is purely client satisfaction!

In your opinion, what is more necessary: An idea or a good team for a successful startup?
It has to be both. I strongly believe you are only as good as your team.
We would love to know your advice for all those starting out as an aspiring entrepreneur?
Entrepreneurship is not easy stuff – you will need to put in 150% of yourself to get things done. If you are ready to give away your sleep, weekends, vacations, time with friends for your idea, for years, where the result is still unknown, you are welcome!
I am not scaring you, but that is the reality. As I said above, it’s all your passion and how you implement the same tested idea or a new one is where you are going to get noticed.
